TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie has ordered all state buildings to fly flags at half staff Monday to honor the late actor James Gandolfini.

Christie’s resolution says the New Jersey native, who died Wednesday while on vacation in Italy, was an “iconic actor, who left a timeless impact upon television and film in the State of New Jersey and across our Nation.”

My neighbor's 18 year old cat passed away yesterday. The home owners association has ordered all flags in the subdivision to be flown at half staff. The cat was iconic for his ability to use flower beds as his personal crappers and his midnight serenades were famous throughout the neighborhood. He will be missed.

For cryin’ out loud! Gandolfini was a mediocre talent at best. The character he portrayed represented a malicious and malevolent hoodlum associated with a bunch of very real asocial murdering parasites who render no useful service, produce no wealth and who degrade and destroy everything they come in contact with besides giving Italians and Americans of Italian descent who have given so much to America a bad name.
