"At a recent cookout, I uncomfortably listened to a quartet of women lambast their husbands while we all worked together in the kitchen. Their fellas were outside with mine, ....totally unaware of the disdain being dropped on their heads.....These kinds of conversations happen again and again, to the point that lazy husbands have become an inevitable, universal truth....Hold on. If the high heel was on the other pedicured foot, and women were seen as perennial boneheads in need of rescue, we'd cry sexism. Yet, we openly criticize our own "lazy, immature" husbands and fuel a stunted characterization of men in the media and pop culture......

I am a member of an art group we meet weekly and paint together. There are about 6 of us and this summer one woman has brought her grandson, a young man who will go off to college in the fall. He wanted to try out painting with oil paints.
I made the comment this week that he was learning something about women. He was learning that we never talk about men.
Please pray for my sister who is a christian but very deceived at this time. She is seeking a divorce from her current husband who does not want it. The man is a little rough around the edges but he’s a good guy overall, works and takes care of his family.
My sister got involved with an old childhood boyfriend in prison at this time and she’s ‘madly in love’ but she’s just mad with stupidity and blinded emotions as I see it. Pray that the Holy Spirit work to destroy this illicit affair at the root. Her name is Marianne.
Thank you all.
You nailed it, TalBlack: A good wife is a ‘force multiplier’ We just gotta harness the power.
Interestingly, leading male figures were portrayed positively only when they were single or widowers.

Danger, Will Robinson!
Didn't have to read any further.
The (exclusively female) folly of becoming "involved" with someone behind prison walls trumps even the most asinine stupidity of men "thinking with their 'other' heads."

“Any male requiring some process of empowering isnt a Man.”
“Empowering” can be nothing more than getting out of his way.
Cutting him off at the knees at every opportunity is the problem at hand.
I have had a couple of ladies who told me of their bad lives with their husbands.
I discovered they were giving a not so subtle hint that they were available.
Such women are not to be trusted.
I've seen this a lot, even in my family--5 marriage breakups in my and my wife's immediate family where the spouse (mostly the wife) ran off with another person. I blame Facebook and similar social media. The guy/gal on the Innernet always smells good, has just the right thing to say (after thinking about it for a few hours...days), and looks a vibrant 10-15 years younger than his/her age. It's impossible for a spouse to compete with a fantasy. I will pray for your sister that God will give clarity to her life. On a similar note....It has been my observation that wives will talk up their children and talk down their husbands; husbands will talk up their wives and talk down their children.
Men in general don't speak of their wives all that much, good or bad, unless there's an event or vacation coming up, something enjoyable. Or, quietly among close friends, if the marriage is in trouble.
Outside your circle of girlfriends, nobody wants to hear the harangue, ladies. Do something to get that venom out that does not involve downing your spouse. Years of that sourness shows up on your face eventually. We all know “the chip” and we all know “the look” that comes from years of it. You'll be bitter, unattractive and alone, *itching at the wall or a poor long-suffering pet, if you don't snap out of it.
Thanks much-—this prisoner Romeo has made bookmarks with their daughters names on them as ‘gifts’. They never met or spoke with this guy. Both the girls an their dad are a little creeped out by it but my sister is so blinded she insisted the daughters write thank you notes to him against their wishes. She’s in such deception and in a fantasy for sure. May the Holy Spirit intervene and break this evil grasp as I see it.

If your BIL should see a talented lawyer and see what can be done with this...
I never thought of the Rebels like *that*.

You can easily describe the taste of an Ewok.
