Exactly. I got into it with a Chicagoan a few months back who blamed the "gun culture" for the city's high murder rate. I asked why is it, then, that cities like Boise (my hometown), which have a very strong gun culture, can have such a shockingly low murder rate? The answer...it's not the "gun culture", it's the crime culture.
