Agreed. At one time, most celebrities generally understood that and it made sense. We don’t come to them for our politics any more than we go to buy gasoline from a Chinese restaurant.
There is an old video of Elvis Presley doing a press conference. Some reporter asked him what he thought about the Vietnam war. He replied, “Honey, I’m just an entertainer, I’d rather keep my opinions about that to myself.”
She said this WAAAAY before she was a “star”.
