I mean after all, they have windshields, fenders and roofs. The people pay good money and take time off to to and see a race.

The fans themselves can and do drive in the rain, without dying. I should think it would be a different type of racing and at a slower speed, but still racing nevertheless. If it stops raining and the track dries out, go to the pits and put the slicks back on.

Just like any other type of “show biz”...the show must go on.
