The Russians aren’t into political correctness. Over there they call a spade a spade. There was a great comment on a blog by a West Virginian who was an exchange student at a school somewhere near Leningrad and shared a train compartment with a couple of Russian men.
“Amazingly blunt” does describe most of the Russians I’ve met.

That’s because the Soviets invented poltical corectness, inserted it into the media and universities, and utilized it as a means of damaging the West.
Same reason they aren’t environmental-wackos.
