I believe that was a wall cloud, a structure within a super-cell thunderstorm. Pretty scary, as well-defined as it was.

I believe that was a wall cloud, a structure within a super-cell thunderstorm. Pretty scary, as well-defined as it was.It's the updraft base of a supercell, which does include a wall cloud in this case. It also includes at least one tornado, visible briefly in this video.
