This is an issue that everyone should be aware of even if you do not live in Westchester County, New York. I have included some background links.

Obama's HUD is bullying Westchester County, a northern New York City suburb, into far exceeding its settlement with HUD to build low-income housing in predominantly "white" towns. The underlying premise is to force the county to sue its own towns and villages to violate their own zoning laws. The county executive is a republican in a very democrat county. HUD looks at Westchester as its prototype for pushing its wealth re-distribution tactics on other areas around the country.

All in all, it's a very frightening situation.

i, along with another half dozen members of the White Plains Tea Party, sat down about a month ago with our local rat assemblyman (buchwald)....the same guy whose campaign ran on a “lets vote our principles, not the Tea Party values” and “won” the election by a handful of votes....

we had his head spinning on every issue and he could not give a straight answer- i brought up this very topic...”the gov’t wants to dictate to landlords whom they can and cannot rent to” I got a lot of “uh, duh, well” but no answer...

bottom line was this was a settlement from the prior county executive, a rat, and HUD, to avert a lawsuit- build more “affordable” housing in rich areas...amongst other things i asked “why aren’t they building the affordable housing in Andrew Spano’s neighborhood??”

Spano was the rat county executive who signed onto this agreement...
