To: Slings and Arrows
Apparently not the result of a zygote splitting. There is a protein called the sonic hedgehog protein mentioned in the Frank-and-Louie article.

I guess most of these creatures live only a little while, but Frank and Louie is still going strong. Good for them and for the owners. I hope this little kitten in Oregon grows strong and healthy.

I can understand why most 2-headed creatures are euthanized even if they don’t spontaneously expire soon after birth. Not sure what I’d do if a mama of mine gave birth to one of them. But I’m glad this baby in Oregon is being taken care of!
