Actually, in the book it was a Japanese pilot flying an airliner into the Capitol. (In the book, there was a trade war between the US and Japan that escalated into a shooting war that the US won.) But I remember when I saw the planes flying into the twin towers thinking about that book, and wasn't surprised to hear that one of the planes that day was supposed to hit either the Capitol or the White House (Flight 93).
