Edward Snowden is a nobody, who

1) studied computing at Anne Arundel Community College and didn’t complete the course

2) Had a pole dancer for a girl friend

3) Enlisted in the Army and was discharged for breaking both legs in an accident

4) Somehow lands a job as an NSA security guard for a covert facility at the University of Maryland,[

5) Joins the CIA in ‘IT Security’

6) He gets stationed in Switzerland with ‘diplomatic cover’ where is responsible for maintaining ‘network security’

7) In May of 2013, he had been working for defense contractor Booz Allen Hamilton for less than three months as a system administrator inside the NSA in Hawaii.

8) Fired on June 10 from Booz Allen Hamilton “for violations of the firm’s code of ethics and firm policy.”

9) Blows the lid off of the NSA surveillance

10) Runs to Hong Kong

11) Tells his story to the world’s media

12) Putin offers him asylum on June 12

Questions....

How does a NOBODY with NO education and little military background wind up in a sensitive national security job
with access to our grid?

Who brought him into the CIA?

This is all just a little bit too convenient.

More to the point, who benefits from was he’s revealed, and who suffers?

He’d be a hero in my book if he uncovered the real scoop about Obama’s BC.

Or could it be plain ole incompetence on the part of the Gubmint? From what they`ve demonstrated, many there couldn`t stage a one care funeral procession.

Or put differently, they couldn`t find their asses with both hands even if the followed the farting.

Unless of cause he is still working for the CIA.
He did not get hired by Booz Allan without
a Top Secret Compartmented clearance.

He would have gained the SCI at the CIA.

What was the facts of his leaving the CIA ?

I agree. A little to convenient. A lot of this is a little to convenient. Sort of like Hitler before he took over.

I have 6 weeks of training in programming COBOL over 20 years ago, but earn on a par with Snowden.

There are probably easily tens of thousands, if not more, college dropouts who earn well into six figures in the computer business.

There are about 500,000 individual with TOP SECRET clearances.

It’s a little difficult to mind control 500,000 people to not divulge secrets.

It’s hard for business to keep secrets, it’s hard for governments to keep secrets.

It’s been well known for, well, ever, that diplomatic folks are very often spies.

The Dulles brothers - Allen was the first civilian head of the CIA while at the same time his brother John was Secretary of State.

Basically, when you see someone from the “State Dept”, you assume they may be CIA. It’s widely known (well, outside the US).

This is all just a little bit too convenient.

I'd guess a bunch of spooks (maybe hundreds or thousands) were sitting around sipping brews at the Shady Back Alley Pub, talking about "somebody oughta do something about this whatever", and this fellow drew the short straw.

Daniel Ellsberg had high level security clearance. Perhaps part of the problem with the current system, is that people without decent clearance have access to everything.

12) Putin offers him asylum on June 12

That was a statement from the Daily Mail and pure speculation on the part of that news article.........

You really think that a Libertarian would actually defect to a communist country???????

You’ve got that right. It is WAY to convenient. With today’s job market, how could a guy with a loser background like he has get a primo job like that while tons of highly qualified people get passed by. I’m not buy the story yet. Something is fishy.

When Benghazi unraveled they needed cover.
Then the IRS story was purposely leaked with a planted question as a distraction.

When the IRS story started to backfire due to it being a real scandal that people actually understood, they needed another distraction.

Now conveniently, the NSA scandal comes out. In every distraction Benghazi gets more and more distant.

This is too much like watching a magician’s right hand when we really should be watching his left.

Ever see the movie the Recruit with Al Pacino? CIA recruits people from colleges. A former CIA agent wrote an article on how they recruit young people from our colleges. Like Columbia, Harvard, most of the IVY league colleges. He was probably one of those teenage computer geeks and/or geniuses.

After 9/11 and passage of Patriot Act, most folks knew phones and computers were being monitored but only those suspected of terrorism. This kid is a hero. He has exposed the abuse of the Patriot Act at extremes.
