I haven’t met many black Catholics either. Wonder why that is?

Percentage of one-parent families in the USA:
American Indian — 53%
Asian or Pacific Islander — 17%
Black or African American — 67%
Hispanic or Latino — 42%
NON-HISPANIC WHITE — 25%
Two or More Races — 42%
TOTAL — 35%
from:
http://datacenter.kidscount.org/data/acrossstates/Rankings.aspx?ind=107
Also note:
Non-Hispanic whites account for 69.1 percent of the U.S. population, according to the 2000 Census data. However, because the non-white population is heavily clustered in relatively few counties, the average U.S. county has a population that is 79.6% non-Hispanic white.

Government policies have been aimed at pushing fathers out of their childrens lives. AKA...The Fatherland instead of the father.

Freepers are so ignorant about black culture I used to gag at all the posts in 2008 about how Zer0 had "set back race relations (x) years."

When I was a kid, we used to go to downtown Richmond to Thalhimer’s and Miller & Roads to see the Christmas displays in the windows. Such a shame. Even Monument Avenue has been defaced. Sad.

Yup...and the breadwinner in most of these households are the poor suckers who, like us,get up 5 (or more) days a week and spends 8 hours (or more) at the office/plant.

“Your population statistics may not match the statistics for numbers of families with kids(with or without fathers).”
I used the census numbers for demographics, however kids may not be spread equally among demographic groups. So your right, it may not be accurate. You could look at the average age in each demographic group and get a better picture.
Thanks, BTW. I wasn’t up to figuring it out this morning...
