There were sudden little rainstorms that came suddenly out of almost-nowhere all weekend-
The scandal-storm continues-
The bedfellows it has made
Have almost put some basic
Disagreements in the shade
The alterity that exists
Between our rights and spying
Unites some on left and right-
Of that there is no denying
It seems in spite of party line
Not all the ‘rats are sheep-
And Lindsey Graham thinks
Some rights aren’t ours to keep...
I’m almost optimistic that even some democrats have a sense of what liberty really means-maybe some have awakened, but peeling the leeches off their legs is another matter...
