And you can’t root for Boston because of the sweep. You are between a rock and a hard place, my friend. If I can ignore Hossa, you can too.
Thank you! I know you are just so proud of her-which university has she chosen?
I was totally shocked yesterday when I saw Rand Paul and Dennis Kucinisch (sp)-whom I normally consider a bit of a loon-actually saying almost the same thing about govt spying...
Pardon my ignorance - I am truly a bandwagon jumper here - but why the anti-Hossa-ness?
Au contraire. I can root for Boston to win if they play just as effectively on defense.
Then we don’t look stupid.
Hossa played for the Penguins in 08 when they lost to the Red Wings. That summer he jumped ship to Detroit because he thought he had a better chance to win the Cup there.
So, having become a traitor, it was sweet, sweet justice to have the Pens beat the Wings that next year.
i saw that yesterday and posted it to you.
ah. Yeah, that would totally disgust me if it happened to my team too - and I gotta admit it is sweet justice to know that his new team lost the next year...
I don’t think so. You posted one about the Caps fans opinions and one about how no decision had been made on Bylsma yet. Nothing about him praising Fleury and calling him our #1 goalie.
The guy was on the losing end of the Cup final three years in a row.
He was a foxy friday back in July of last year, i think.
oh ok, well i read it and intended to post it to you. it was def on google yesterday when i googled my fave stoic eastern european cutiepie.
I understand this line of reasoning, following it myself. Unless the team that beat us in the playoffs is an arch enemy, or just complete jack wads, I usually root for them to go all the way so as to make it look like: “Well hell, OF COURSE the Sox lost - nobody was able to take down those guys....”
She is interested in graphics and web design and is going to start at the community college and see how that goes.
Right. “We could have lost to them in the Super Bowl, too. We just had the bad luck of playing them in the Wild Card round.”
I have outdoor chickens now. I’ll have to take some pictures for ya.
My wife got these solar-powered “predator eyes” — blinking lights supposed to scare away potential predators.
uh oh, mr fox would make short shrift of them in our yard!
That sounds like a great idea-our eldest pursued that line of work in college, and landed an internship with a major magazine publisher right away-she later becoming head of the graphic design dept...
A stout, enclosed yard/run, with even the top fenced is all that keeps raccoons, foxes-and especially skunks-from turning chickens into fast food out here. I’ve never seen blinking light predator eyes-are they supposed to resemble actual predators’ eyes?
I don’t like him because he slashed and hooked my favorite player and then scored on the same play(he was never called for the OBVIOUS fouls) which let them win in OT and knocked us out of the play-offs.
