I would like to read the first years of National Review articles from the 50s and 60s. Does anyone know where I can access these online? I am a National Review print and online subscriber, but I can't find them on the National Review site.
For all you know, they’re not digitized, unless the Library of Congress has done it. You might have to do things the old-fashioned way (microfiche), at a library that has it (such as the LoC).
Old stuff from NR was indeed available online, but on a pay for basis. E-mail them.
The NSA prolly has all the info you need and more.
If you’re in Southern California, Occidental College and Whittier College have print copies of National Review in their libraries, but the sets are not complete.
I feel bad, I tossed out my Fathers collection from day one till the 80’s without thinking about someone wanting them.
Fred, if you’ll come clean out my garage you can have all my old copies.
Liberty,
I might take you up on that. I am doing research on the early conservative movement, and I want to read through the articles straight through.
Great, we have a couple hundred boxes of stuff we need cleaned out. A box of National Reviews, some Human Events, and the rest I don’t know what because they didn’t get labeled.
