It is funny—to see the title followed by the picture popping up. I needed a little levity at the moment.
Verizon’s new advertising slogan...
“We Can Hear You Now.”
“...and see you....we know what you’ve done or guess what you may do... but for $39.95 extra per month...we won’t tell the government”
btw, is buying a trac phone with cash the way to go anymore?
I was expecting a van with the words “Free Candy” spray painted on it.
Some of them even send live video to the White House. :)
Dude, you're on FreeRepublic.
The Baraqqis have already decoded your DNA.
I have been pretty far out of the news loop these days, but I could have sworn the snippet I heard on this was that Verizon was the only major cell carrier admitting to this— the implication being they _all_ were, Verizon was the only one being honest about it.
But, again, it was just a snippet heard in passing and I may be inferring rather than the reporter implying...
Anyway, thanks for the laugh.
LOL
I ain’t much to look at.
Yeah, I can see how you can extrapolate Verizon from Prizm.
Eric Schmidt CEO of Google spilled the beans a few years ago and mentioned that there wasn’t any online privacy. These current revelations just prove his point.
lol....
Just a side note - I always get my bills ready at
the beginning of the month - write the check, put stamp
on, and date for when to mail. Today was the day for the
Verizon bill. I had the american flag Justice FOREVER stamp
on it and I couldn’t help myself. I drew a big arrow up to the stamp.
The NSA didn’t request this. Look at the leaked FISA warrant, the claimant was not the NSA, it was the DOJ, via the FBI.
It’s instructive that so many media reports are getting this wrong - this is Eric Holder at work again. NSA was the agency tasked with the collection - it wasnt the agency requesting the warrant. This was the DOJ.
The media is still watching Holder’s back.
LOL
