I have joy to share w/you! Earthwoman was delighted to get the zucchini, maters and onions! Her zucchini has been attacked by squash bugs (bah! humbug! drat!). Fortunately, we brought her enough to cook and serve her family tonight! Praise J! How wonderful to bring joy to one who brings so much joy to others! Yahoo! (Rant over. Thanks for listening. Spinach smoothie? Well, his heart is in the right place!) I told her about ‘Face’s recipe for zucchini horses’ doovers, but she’s attached to her time-tested recipes so I guess I’ll have to make the zucchini bites and drop some off immediately after making them! (That’s what I do with the fried Italian donuts. I make them on the morning of our visit.) I wish I could share our harvest w/you and yours! It would be so much fun!
I should pick all my tomatoes and whatever else is growing and make soup again. It rained again. The arugula was looking stressed, but now it will be back on the attack.
Congratulations on the successful delivery of zucchini. I’m surprised there hasn’t been any at Weight Watchers: sometimes people bring in the overflow of their gardens.
Elen hasn’t driving since last Friday. Maybe she can drive somewhere this weekend.
