It’s good to know you take such good care of your hair. When mine was thick and healthy, I took as good care of it as I knew how.
Kindred spirits!
I especially liked the part where I got to get back to work!
Supper is in the home stretch: pork roast (with orange juice and hot peppers) is in the oven. The peppers (5, it turned out) will go in about 5:00. The beans are simmering on the stove.
My sister-in-law sent flowers. I got my hair cut, in my usual “radical feminist college professor” style. Jamie says Hey to everyone.
Birthday: mine and little Prince Whatsisface. Maybe it will be “James.”
Can’t offer much by way of gift, but if I could figure out how, I would send you a neat thunderstorm right now that snuck up from the south. Packaging it for transit might be a tad difficult though.. ;-)
That’s an awfully nice thought, but you can just enjoy it for me. We have been rain-free for almost 24 hours!
What you mean to say is that you sent this our way, eh?
From what I’ve been reading, James is a good possibility! I will hope! (My father’s first name was James.)
I would have if I’d thought of it!
There hasn’t been a James since James II, the one wiped out by the Glorious Revolution.
It’s is fairly cool today, and only made it up to 91. But it’s been overcast and breezy, so that’s good.
If there have been storms, they haven’t made it up from the southeast, yet. I’ve had enough for the week, though, for sure.
Yes, it has been a long time. But I think there will never be another John.
Darksheare sez that where he is he has lightening, wind, rain, and homicidal gay zombie lawyers... Wonder if that's anything like Sharknado... ;0
86, mostly sunny right now. I don’t expect a John, either ... but there was over 600 years between Pope John 22nd and Pope John 23rd, so you never know!
Darksheare lives in an interesting place. I wonder what I’d find if I googled “homicidal gay zombie lawyers”?
But the Popes John were benevolent leaders. The King John was not.
And with that, I’m think I’m going to go lie down. My feet are swollen again.
See y’all in the morning!
And again, Happy Birthday!
I think Pope John 22nd was a real lemon, and that’s why it was so long before the name was used again.
Sorry about your feet, and I’ll see you tomorrow with a report on how all my food turned out.
Not to defame Pope John: the Wikipedia bio suggests he was not so much a lemon personally, as just the wrong guy in a bad situation. It seems he was well-intentioned.
I will be waiting! And maybe I may even go to Walmart for the peppers...I was too lazy today.
Later!
To be continued...
If my peppers turn out really well, I will tell you how I did it.
