“Who ties up a dog... Timothy McVeigh was also a veteran”.

The man could have tied up the dog for any number of good reasons. The dog may have been young and in the chewing stage. The dog may also have been left a good bit of time and rather than soil all the house.. could have tinkled in the kitchen (where most flooring is easily cleaned). If you read the article, this veteran in question was at work and minding his own business. It was the cops who made the mistake of going into the wrong house. It was the cops who broke his door and killed his dog because someone was too lazy or stupid to actually get the right apartment on the warrant.

My point with the veteran is simple. This is a man who faced combat to protect our constitutional freedoms and fight tyranny. Yet he was the victim of tyranny and had his constitutional rights trampled upon like they were nothing. For every supporter of the cops who killed this dog (and chooses to ignore that he was a true victim) think about this. The next time it may be your house or one of your families houses. The next time the cops may be after ammo, guns, or anything else that is put on a list. IMHO, the reason many of our God given constitutional rights are being taken away is simple... because so many people side with the ones who are doing the taking. Have a good day.

For every supporter of the cops who killed this dog

How many people here support cops killing dogs indiscriminately? Do you have a number or percentage?

I believe it is inhumane to chain a dog inside an unoccupied residence. The dog could easily end up strangling itself.

It is incumbent upon law enforcement to get warrants for and to enter the correct address.
