Tom Tancredo running for CO governor
For reasons unknown to the masses, Boyles got into a heated exchange with his longtime producer, Greg Hollenbeck.
KHOW's radio host Peter Boyles gets in 'heated physical exchange' with producer

I'm going to miss Boyles. He couldn't be called on the right, that's for sure, but he was often in alignment with many issues of the right. Obama's dearth of documents regarding his past, radical Islam, illegal immigration, 2nd amendment infringement and especially as of late what Hickenlooper and the state legislature have done here in Colorado, and Hickenlooper's very recent reprieve of convicted Chuck E. Cheese killer, Nathan Dunlap, who had been scheduled for execution.
Boyles had on Robert Spencer just about daily. Pam Geller and Jack Cashill were also frequent guests.
Boyles isn't a young man. I don't know if he has any interest in getting back in it. 560 Grassroots radio would probably be a good fit for him. I hope they pick him up.
Sad Boyles went out this way. :( He used to drive me nuts about a couple of things, but he was so right about many others.
Oh that sucks, I like peter boyles, he did a LOT about Obama’s BC.
I didn’t realize something went wrong I remeber hearing his show with Tancredo...
Boyles isn’t a young man.
Sometimes Old Farts can just snap, it is the way their minds sometimes don’t work...
This is bad news....when many of the GOP media cut and run and supprted Obama on Eligibility....Boyles was one of the few to keep pressing the issue
What a shame. I listened to Boyles all the time. he was the best locally
The last few months it seemed he was easily pi**ed off and went off on guests with a “I know better” attitude.
Maybe he overdid the testosterone from that doctor he was always hawking.
I’m not familiar with 560 ‘FrassRoots Radio’.
It sounds like something I would like.
I did not agree with Boyles on may things, as I don’t agree with same sex marriage or drug legalization and a few other things.
I did agree with him on illegal immigration, 2nd Ammendment rights and other issues however.
It’s odd in that he did that (or allegedly ‘did that’) to Hallenbeck.
I'm not surprised that Boyles got canned. Seems like over the last few years he's been going through yet another midlife crisis on a regular basis.
It will be interesting to see if Hollenbeck shows up on The Modern Dater on Saturday night.
To say I love Peter Boyles like a brother would be a disservice. In many ways, he is more than a brother to me.
We have worked together on and off for more than 30-years and were back-to-back for many of those years. Wed jokingly call it the one-two punch referring to our might in ratings!
I will not address the personnel issues that brought us to this point. I am not privy to any of the details and Peter, himself, is not bitter over the decision and does not want to discuss the issue. Instead I want to address our feelings for Peter and I want to open my page up to his listeners to say goodbye or to simply express their sentiments toward him.
Peter has been my mentor and inspiration in talk radio since I arrived in Denver. I still remember the dinners Peter and I had with Alan Berg where wed discuss the business of talk radio. I could not have asked for better advice.
Peter was there for me during my divorce, my marriage to Holly, my personal struggles and my bankruptcy. He supported me. He listened to me. He helped me.
For many he was the first person they listened to in the morning. And whether you agreed with him or not, you could not deny his intelligence and understanding of history, the issues and the nature of people.
Most people in the media do not really know the issues they cover or the topics they discuss. That is not the case with Boyles. We often joked about the main stream media.
Peter is one of a kind. I will miss him on KHOW. Thank God he is healthy and will be around Denver for a long time. Thank God I can relish our friendship. And if Pete talks
I will listen.
I respected Peter because he didn’t just have views you agreed with or not, he stated WHY he held those views. He allowed debate, he fostered discussions, and he did his best to provide the real news and facts as he could.
I disagreed with him on the 2nd amendment where he thought gun control would cut down violent crime, but he at least said why he thought as he did, and he never claimed to be the last word on any subject. He often gave the last word to everyone else.
I rarely listen to his show because I simply am not in the car during his morning show anymore, but when I was I listened daily.
He even had Freeper Matt Bracken, aka Freeper Travis McGee, on his show. Peter isn’t always right but he is a standup guy that tries to be and he is always right with his guests.
