I remember the little girl was around when some one brought back his friend.

My Husband watched the show with me until Ned Stark (Sean Bean) died. After that he refuses to watch it again. He leaves the room when it’s on because he is still p!ssed that they killed him off.

Joffrey’s wedding will be Season 4, I’m guessing. That is going to be good!

Yes, I have read all 5 books, and then started the series again and am currently about 10 chapters into book 3 again.

Never thought I could read 5k+ pages more than once, but I’ve really been enjoying it a second time.

Some great music fitting of recent events.

There are no spoilers in this music and there are no comments, only “The Rains of Castamere”.

I think Daenarys is Henry Tudor. He was referred to as “the dragon” and that was his battle standard.

Wondered what loyal fans would think when that particular scene from the books was put to video.....it’s brutal enough in print.

The Freys are a horrid lot must be Democrats.

That’s true, however I believe that Melisandre, whom earlier demonstrated her talent of glamour, is going to be the key player in that particular game.

Right there with you ... although a couple things brought me back. First, I didn't realize that it was close to the end of the season. Yes, this makes a difference for me. And his death (in hindsight) is no more shocking than Janet Leigh in "Psycho" (Oh, wait SPOILER!). And his death is the catalyst for the books to follow.

That said, some of the others who die were a bit perplexing. Think of all the Kings and Wannabe Kings in the series (and Ned is neither) and how many still remain at the end of the first book. So, wait? Who is this story about?

When the saga is over, it'll be interesting to see which characters and plotlines were neither interesting nor necessary.

Lol, do these same viewers record themselves watching each show and the recorder plays "dumb"? "Honey, why are you taping me watching this show?"

On a side note, *Slight Spoiler Alert*

don't mess with Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry janitor, especially if you promised to marry his daughter.

Hard to talk about this without spoilers but

Lady Stoneheart gets her revenge on many but Littlefinger manages to escape her wrath and wins the "Game" in the end, lol.

Pretty sure it’s next week. It’s definitely season finale material.

What I'm afraid of is that they will start the "wedding scene"; and then end the season before Joffrey's death. If I have to watch Robb and Cathelyn die, then I want the satisfaction this week of seeing some evil go down as well. Even up the playing field.

The good guys always die

What "good guys"? There aren't any. And not all of the "bad guys" are as bad as they first appear.

Yes, there are good guys.

John Snow is a good guy.

Sansa Stark is a good guy, though a bit thick of head to be sure.

Varys the spider is a good spider. (Can’t call him a guy so...)

Samwell Tarly is a good guy.

Brienne of Tarth is a good, ah, gal.

Davos Seaworth is a good guy.

Barristan Selmy is a good guy.

There is also a whole host of characters, while slightly grayer than the ones that I listed, are also good.

And there are even others who started dark and are moving into the light, such as Sandor Clegane and even Jaime Lannister.

I didn’t say “nice guys”, I said “good guys”.

While you are supposed to be sympathetic to Jon Snow, he is a 3-time oath-breaker to the Night’s Watch (ok, once on orders, but still). I suspect he is the “hero” of the story in the end, as we find out that he’s not Ned’s son, but rather his nephew and is one of three heads of the dragon.

Sansa Stark is too stupid and naive to be either a good guy or bad guy. She simply gets led around from point to point by people who are using her.

Varys is most certainly not a “good guy” of any sort, given his methods, and may only wind up being on the “good” side in the sense that it will be the winning one.

You can go down the list the same way. Some of them are more or less sympathetic in their initial portrayal, but their actions tell a different story. On the flip side, you have Jamie Lannister, who will never be a good guy, but is a lot more sympathetic once you see things from his point of view.

He may not be “likeable” and I may just be responding to the consumate, old school actor cast in the role, but I’m enjoying Tywin Lannister lately. “You are being COUN-selled at this verrry MO-ment” to snotty little Joffrey, lol.

All the deaths are from the books. Martin really enjoys killing the characters that have become the center of the plot.
