It was also blatantly unconstitutional! Don't believe me? How far do you think a law banning someone with a misdemeanor charge of trespassing from practicing their religion FOR LIFE would go? Or how about a law banning someone convicted of misdemeanor disturbing the peace from every being able to vote? Even worse the law was an ex post facto law and RETROACTIVELY took the gun rights from someone that was convicted in the past, with no ability to restore the right. Not to mention that "domestic violence" is a throw away charge used in many divorce proceeding can can result from something as simple as once spouse calling another in violation of a court order.
