There are magnetic pole shifts and planet shits where the axis of rotation points change locations.
When I was a kid, I was fascinated by the book Pole Shift by John White and all the Edgar Cayce books I could find.
The second pole shift version, where the north and south axis points our planet spins about change, is the one Cayce spoke of and what John White writes about. Immanuel Velikovsky is another.
For fun, I've been studying prophecy and predictions and, curiously enough, that sort of pole shift, where the stars suddenly blur into trailing streaks of light and about 2/3rds of the humans on the planet and most everything else are wiped out, is a common current (last 100 or so years) prediction/prophecy, for whatever that may be worth.
Didn’t Cayce say to watch for strife in Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Ankara to know when the pole shift would begin?
You mean the Earth would start spinning on another two hypothetical axes, like a plane in a controlled/uncontrolled spin/dive? So instead of spinning in the direction we know now, there wouldn’t be any direction and would basically be rolling all over the place, in its orbit?
Larry Niven wrote something similar for faster-than-light travel in clear hull spaceships, in that before FTL, you see the stars, but when you kick it in, they disappear, causing a phenomenon he called the “blind spot” in his Ringworld series of books, in that humans would be transfixed by it, unable to take their attention away from it.

Sounds alot like a pole shift being predicted...
