Yes, spoilers would be a real problem for anyone who hasn't read the books and is only following the HBO series. There is no shortage of unpredictable tricks and traps. I just found myself sometimes consciously thinking about the author being a cruel bas****, chuckling to himself as he typed.

Regarding producers of the series, I think they've done as good a job as possible when going from a written to a visual medium. Never easy and it's rare when it's done well.

Agreed. The series is so well done, so flawlessly cast. Of course, I like others have problems with the overdone sexual aspects of it, but whatever, I can take it.

One of my favorite things about it is the added scenes. I might think oh these are stupid or what is the actual purpose of them, but some of them are so good that it just blows my mind.

Such as this one for instance, in which Littlefinger comes off as so utterly evil: The Climb

I don't see how anyone can enjoy the series without having read the books. The wall is a stroke of genius like that which the Romans built to keep the Picts from coming south.

I see Westeros as England just before the final ice advance. Watch out for the Red Comet too (it's coming back).
