Before everyone throws this poor woman under the bus remember she is mentally ill and she did try to put it up for adoption!! At least she tried! I give her that. I do wish they would not put her in jail but in a nervous hospital for trying to do the right thing.

Back to the subject...I wonder why she couldn't have just asked the father to take him in the first place?

The boy is now under the care of his father.

Perhaps giving legal custody of this child to his father, and of her expected child to his/her father (same or different ...), might work out.

If the story is accurate, she was looking for a good home for him, even if she went about it the wrong way.

Think of it, for minute, she posted for adoption for her child on Craig’s list.
That is like asking some pedophile to come take your baby and molest him.
She wasn’t thinking of what was best for her child. If she was she would have gone to child services or a church or dropped him off at a hospital or fire station.

I think the only reason she was using Craigslist is because she wanted to sell him to the highest bidder.
