1592, "bitter invective discourse," from M.Fr. philippique, from L. orationes Philippicæ, translation of Gk. Philippikoi logoi. The L. phrase was used of the speeches made by Cicero against Marc Antony in 44 and 43 B.C.E.; originally of speeches made in Athens by Demosthenes in 351-341 B.C.E. urging Greeks to unite and fight the rising power of Philip II of Macedon.

One of my friends told me her neighbor’s dog gave her big dog some philippic and ended up with stitches.
It’s my little baby’s birthday today. She’s 12.
I told her she’s gotta pay full price at the movies now.
She countered that she’ll need a license to go out hunting with her pappy.
She’s grown a bit from 3 lb 15 oz.
Do you think she is setting up for a Presidential run?

Yes, she was 9 weeks early. She didn’t come home till 4 weeks after being born.
I’m not sure what her next move is.
I do think that she will have one.

Wow, my son was really lucky - he was smaller than her but pretty healthy for a 10 week early baby...came home after 3 weeks

I heard the dems redistricted her into an even tougher battle than last year. I think Michelle will become another Sarah and be a force to contend with. Neither one can look to a bigger political future. I think she should form her own PAC and influence elections for a decade or more to come.

Washington, DC - The Justice Department has just announced that, due to sequestration "cuts", all defendants being prosecuted in U.S. federal courts will now be required to bring their own kangaroos to trial.

I wasn’t aware of the redistricting, thanks. I agree - she could do more good without the constraints of having to be reelected every other year.
