Bushmaster Carbon 15
Bushmaster Firearms ^

Not one to post vanities, but was wondering about the Carbon 15.
Saw one today for $799.
Anyone with knowledge or experience with this one?
Fondled a couple of bushmasters in the past, but was unimpressed.
This one seems tighter and lighter

I have never owned or fired a Bushmaster. I do know they have in general, a good reputation.
I have owned 5 or maybe 6 Cold H-Bars and a couple of sporters. The workmanship on all those Colts was about as good as it gets. In fact everything about them was about as good as it gets. Accuracy was superb. Handling easy, good triggers and good sights.

You’ll find it lighter than the average AR, dependable and accurate. A year ago the Bushy was going for about $700 so with all the shortages, $800 is pretty good.

I just sold my Bushmaster® Carbon 15 Type 21S Pistol, and have 2 Bushy Class III AR-15s, not the Carbon 15 types. They make a fine rifle.

I thought carbon 15 was a way to date ancient relics?

As far as the left is concerned, Americans cannot
be trusted with these high capacity lead delivery systems.

A lightweight rifle like that will kick like a mule. (Not really.)
I think I saw them selling for $699 before 0bmama, so that price is probably about right.

You get what you pay for. 800 is a good price. If you can afford it, score a Colt.

Being from Connecticut,I’d love to buy a Colt AR-15 but with this New Anti-Assault Rifle law that or Infamous Governor just signed into law I see NO Reason to waste the money just so our State Law Enforcement Officials can come and confiscate it at a later date.
This Registration plan they have here is just the first step from taking them all.
On the other hand If a Court decides to slap this governors plan down,I’ll be there in a heartbeat to buy one.

Doesn’t Wyndham own all the original Bushmaster tooling now?

I think it stayed with them, when they sold Bushmasters name to The Freedom Group.

Both mine are 5.56, which makes me think Windham made them in 2002-03.

The original Bushmaster factory is in Windham Maine.
I think they kept all the tooling.
