Another Dangerous Coronavirus: MERS

Alabama’s Dept. of Public Health reports respiratory illness of unknown origin that has infected 7 people in southeast Alabama and killed 2. Does not appear to be avian influenza, but MERS is a question while CDC test results pending.
Of most concern is the fact that the different clusters
of MERS seen in multiple countries increasingly supports the hypothesis
that when there is close human contact, this MERS coronavirus
can transmit from person to person.
