It doesn’t surprise me; however, I, personally, would be extremely reluctant to ascribe to any one thing the complex Hitler phenomenon.
Granted, I’m no Hitler scholar, but it seems to me that there have been hundreds of character studies done of him, and - according to those who are supposed to know - every one has fallen short.
It sometimes seems to me that Hitler wasn’t a human being so much as he was a Cosmic Event.
I liken Hitler (and Stalin to great extent, with the Italian dictator thrown in) to something found in Daniel, Old Testament, where Daniel has been praying earnestly for an answer from God, for weeks, when suddenly an entity appears to Daniel by the River Chabar, to answer his prayers. The Angel explains that it has been restrained from coming to Damiel because of a demonic power working Persia. There appears to have been a demonic power working the developed nations, along the lines of this racial purity notion twisted to support all manner of evil.
