Nathan Dunlap hid in a bathroom until the Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurant closed, then came out and one by one shot five employees, killing four. He then made off with about $1,500 in cash and game tokens.
When next the Republicans control the Colorado legislature and governor’s office, they should change the law that the governor can only pardon, reprieve or commute sentences when those modifications have been recommended by the state board of pardons and paroles.
Several other states do things this way, and it makes an effective check against a governor who is spineless, personally opposed to the death penalty, or has other personality deficits.
We elected a wuss to be our governor and this is what we get. A wussy non-decision.
Recall Chickenlooper.
Now that a third of the state's residents are named "Sanchez" when do you expect that to happen? Colorado's lost.I can see *that* from 2000 miles away.

*Except in those circumstances where it coincides with our agenda. THEN we’ll use the results to influence public opinion.
According to the last census, ethnic Mexicans are only about 21% in Colorado.
http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/08000.html
Compare that to New Mexico, where ethnic Mexicans are now the majority-minority, at 46.7% (40% white, 10% Indian). Yet their governor, lieutenant governor, and secretary of state are Republican, despite their senate being 66% Democrat and their House being 54% Democrat.
Importantly, in the last few years, their legislature has become *more* Republican.
