I have a Trojan doing the same thing. AVG has not taken it out like last time. Work in Progress.
For the stubborn ones that malwarebytes and AVG can't remove, download "combofix" from bleepingcomputer.com.

In addition to Malwarebites get Spybot. They do similar things but they sometimes find slightly different malware. Spybot has some additional features to limit cookies and changes to your system. I don’t like the tea timer feature it seems to slow down my system, but I would turn it on until you get the problem. I use both. The free version of LavaSofts Ad Aware is pretty good. Both Malwarebites and Spybot are free. I run them both about once a month.
