That’s not hypocritical because he qualified it with “As long as we live in the gun country.”
It’s a stupid position, but I infer from his statement that he IS willing to give up his gun as soon as they are ruled illegal.
He hasn’t thought through what happens when they are illegal and outlaws still have guns and it continues to be a gun country.
Nor has he thought through the reason for the second amendment in the first place. What happens when government turns tyrannical and goes after the press and the talk show hosts, and uses the IRS to silence it’s critics and suppress it’s opponents ability to raise funds and get their message out.
