AA has had sex segregated meetings for a long time. If they can keep it segregated/along gay straight lines, then there should not be a problems. If a few gay activists take over every meeting and try to make it all about them, then there will be a problem.

If gays try to take over an AA meeting more experienced members would or should stop them. They should not be discussing anything other then their drinking problem

Drunks have a million reasons to drink.

I could see an old timer asking them if their homosexuality caused them to drink.

If they want to stop drinking, then perhaps they're in the right place.

If they don't choose to focus on stop drinking, then perhaps they're in the wrong place.

If their group wants to focus on homosexuality, then they need to find a new group.
