Don't be on the damn' cellphone or "texting" with someone else WHO ISN'T THERE ... pay attention to your date!
He's a fool, and calling her dumping her drink on him for his ignorant boorish self-centered behavior "borderline assault" kinda makes you one too.
Married 27 years, I STILL open doors for my wife, and I never answer the cellphone when we're out on "date night." She has my undivided attention while we're out together. That's not just the smart thing to do, that's the RESPECTFUL thing to do with one's spouse/girlfriend.
I think his being on his cell phone was rude, but how do you know they were on a date? How do you know they are romantically involved at all?
Me either. I have my wife answer the phone.
“and I never answer the cellphone when we’re out on “date night.”
Unless I am expecting a phone call, or it is my wife or one of my kids after business hours, I never stop a live conversation with someone.
It freaks people out when I just let my phone ring and don’t answer it.
“Aren’t you going to answer that?”
“No - I’m talking with you right now.”
