Try hydrogen peroxide or isopropyl alcohol- spray or wipe on and let air dry.

Come to think of it, you might try hydrogen peroxide on your psoriasis, too. I had some sort of fungal infection that affected the tips of my fingers causing the skin to harden, crack and bleed to the point where it could be painful to even button my shirt. I tried every imaginable salve and ointment over several months. Hydrogen peroxide, applied a couple of times a day for about a week cleared it up and it has never been back.

Simple Green, but if the grease has soaked into the wallboard try spraying the spot with Kilz (a stain cover up for painted surfaces...buy at any paint store)and then repaint the wall.

I thought about that. But I tend to treat minor problems with more of a frontal assault kind of method.
It's just my way. I should have been royalty. A spot on the wall deserves an air strike, at least.

Get some real TSP, or automatic dish washer detergent that contains phosphorus.
Do not use cleaners that contain kerosene or napthalene indoors.

Do not use cleaners that contain kerosene or napthalene indoors.Whoops! What about the carburator cleaner that the carb is soaking in, in the bathroom sink? I figured if I just didn't ash in the sink, everything would be ok.

And, also on another BBC show, Food Hospital IIRC, they said take fish oil for psoriasis
________________________
I tried that. It made a very minor case of psoriasis into a terrible flare that for the first time in 65 years even affected my fingernails. It took over a month of total abstinence from the fish oil for the flare to resolve.
Anyone contemplating fish oil for psoriasis, be very careful.
