Is That Occupy Portland Dancing Around a Golden Calf on May Day?
Blaze ^ | Ericka Ritz

Dan Sandini at Daylight Disinfectant recently posted video from the “May Day” protests in Portland, Oregon, and one of them alarmingly shows a group of young individuals dancing around a golden calf.

Sandini’s description of the video reads:

Warning: Video can not be “unseen.” ”It is useless to resist it,” or so go the lyrics. On May 1 2013, Occupy Portland dragged an idol of a Golden Bull down to O’Bryant Square.

Dressed as Egyptian belly dancers they then proceeded to sing and dance about it. You just can’t make this stuff up folks. About three minutes 34 seconds of you life that you can’t get back.

Here are a few screen shots from the clip:

You and I probably wouldn’t much care for the individuals involved but they are making a valid point of sorts.

Yeah, I was gonna say that. It’s explained in some of the text that the “calf” had corporate logos around it ... but still!

Remember The Wicker Man, the movie? Where he is tricked into acting out a role that qualifies him for sacrifice? Maybe multiple levels are operating here.

Speaking of baby sacrifice...I attended an Operation Rescue demonstration at an abortion clinic run "for women" by lesbians.

About one hour into our work the lesbo's brought out a pink paper mache thing they called "Fifi" and began to chant a spell at us which put us outside some imaginary circle. They also included the police as if their chanting would somehow get the police to protect them from us "evil" pro-lifers.

I was rather surprised that both the major newspaper and at least one TV news carried it.

When God is rejected it does not change that part of our human nature which God made for us to desire Him. When He is rejected they still desire someone. If not God then someone else (like satan) takes His place.

My bulldog only growls when he’s getting his toenails clipped, and when he sees a ‘hipster.’ I believe that’s what 21st century hippies are called.

"parody skit"

I agree. Many times conservatives can be quite obtuse. This skit has nothing to do with worshiping Baal. Just ridiculing capitalism and Wall Street. I think many conservatives should get out more.

One of the dancers wore a green dollar sign on her headpiece.

Hopefully Al Qaeda won't ever find out that our nation’s clandestine Crusader Agency has it's Western CONUS HQ in Portland. If Al Qaeda ever did find out — the HQ could be easily neutralized by the detonation of a small nuke, or the release of a deadly virus.

The reference to the newly liberated Jew at the base of Mt. Sinai is doubly apropos. Some worship gold, some human achievement (humanism), some creation (enviros), some political might, but who pray-tell is advocating and worshiping the one true God - the one who declared - I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. Not democrats and very few republicans. The freaks in Portland condemn one idol while replacing it with their own. Sad and equally damning.
