Aint prosperity grand? We have so much to eat in this country that we toss nearly half of it in the trash. At least thats the finding of a recent study conducted by a prominent environmental organization. From the Los Angeles Times:

Didn’t read the article, I admit. So in a third world country with limited power and little refrigeration and no access to safe pesticides, how much do those people throw away, or have the food spoil before they can eat it?

NOT TRUE!!! Necessarily. Scrubbers on coal plants contribute zilch to efficient and reliable power generation, but they do clean up the air. There is NO WAY utilities would use them if they weren’t pressured by government (or lawsuits, or something.
I’m not saying scrubbers are bad...just that the rule above is only partially true.
The first ‘truth’ in this article is the craven and Godless claim that wilderness has no intrinsic value.
I don’t agree with the part about selling off public land i.e. national parks to private interests. What does that prove? Leave the national parks as they are.
How much would you pay for wilderness?
How much would you pay for other humans’ lives?
