According to a New Scientist report, there have been cases of vultures grabbing the bodies of shot animals before the hunters can reach them.
When shooting ducks over saltwater in Southeast Alaska, you pick up the floaters as fast as possible since the bald eagles will swoop down and take them as will the sea lions from underneath. I've seen it happen more than once.

A few hunters I know would be inclined to shoot the vultures, the eagles, and the sea lions after they shot the ducks.
