After an outrageously expensive workup, he is a good candidate for cataract removal surgery, with intraocular lens replacements. For the same price, I could buy a small used car. I’m trying not to worry about the expense. He’s a nice little dog who had a rough start in life. I got him after he was rescued from a puppy mill where he spent the first 4 years of his life in a cage. Constantly in a cage. I have worked a lot with him, to undo some of the psychological damage but this condition is from inbreeding and poor medical care prior to adoption.

Your puppy sounds like a canine Midget girl-a sweet, rescued pet who had a bad start in life and needs/deserves love and a good home-is this the Collie, or a different rescued dog?

Sorry that your dog is having these issues, and you’re having these expenses.
