I have hope but it’s against reason. Shero & Bylsma restructured the defense after the Stanley Cup runs. The is first season since that steps have been taken to get some of that back. The D is nowhere near what the 2009 team had. To compensate for that the forwards have to play good defensive hockey and they were doing that....in March. April was another story.
Playing bad D going into the playoffs isn’t a recipe for success. My head knows that but I have hope. Sid is back, if they can hold the Islanders off maybe they can right the ship. Maybe tomorrow is that day.
Go Isles!

That possibility, and a Boston win, would totally wreck my bracket picks.
I was expecting Boston to be the only underdog not advancing. Looks like I'll be out in the first round if Toronto doesn't pull it out.
Isles guys don’t look like they intend to go meekly after the first period.
Anything can happen in overtime!
Congrats, Airborne. Class comes thru when it counts. I’ll be going dark ‘till next Thur. Takin’ a road trip around the Gulf to The Big Easy for some Cajun chow - never been there before.
Enjoy your trip! Stay safe!
Awesome goal to win it. I was impressed with the Islander fans, though....wonder if they’ll follow them to Brooklyn?
We hockey fans are, by nature, die hard fanatics!
Can the New York area really support 3 teams? I’m sure the Devils can’t be happy about the Islanders’ move.
