Back when I was in the National Guard as a full-timer, I used to have to write a monthly newsletter for members of the unit. One time I was looking for an “r” word to go with the XO’s last name for alliteration purposes. I have never heard the word recrudescence before or since until now.

When Whyisa’s Marine hubby was at Paris Island, he had to “Dress right, dress!” so his recruitdistance was at the right interval between ranks.....
