Of course, it has nothing whatsoever to do with their parenting. Let’s just throw Jules Henry’s studies out the window and treat everything with chemicals.

Actually, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with parenting. I know several fine, upstanding, Christian people that have children touched by Autism.

Epigenetic factors (post-transcription modifications) would seem a logical inference from this data.

Some of these modifications may be due to environmental factors - including the presence of a partner in the womb.

Absolutely right ~ we're talking genes and epigenetics. It's not likely anyone will ever discover talk therapy that drills down to the cell nucleus and tells it to do stuff differently.

It's frustrating to have to deal with this stuff ~ reminds me of the George Jones' song ~ "He stopped loving her today" ~ you can have a lifetime of regret and frustration up against a gene mediated personality and mental catastrophe.

BTW, never did quite figure that out ~ was it her, or was it him, that was the binge drinking sociopath? Both? Hmmm! When both people are missing the critical enzyme to metabolize alcohol they really need to go somewhere without alcohol.

So, kabumpo, best you just toss out all that stuff about environmentally controlled nutso stuff. none of this is an act ~ it's a tragedy. Get used to it.
