Consider that the DHS has already issued reports which basically paint political disagreement with the DC/elite as rightwing extremism (aka terrorism) -- to allow the government to unilaterally strip citizenship is a dangerous, dangerous step.

The Fifth Amendment says "No person...", not "No citizen".
Per our Constitution, certain rights are unalienable, whether one is an alien or a citizen.
