No one ever has to read Miranda rights to anyone and individual can be questioned without limitation. And, the information received can be used for any purpose except as evidence introduced against the individual at his trial.

So, this entire discussion is premature. If they give him his Miranda rights, fine. If they don't give him his Miranda rights, the only possible consequence is that the judge in his case might rule that the statements he makes in response to questions can't be used against him in his trial. Until that day comes, no one can be sure of what that judge will do at that time.

So, it's premature to worry about it today. We can't solve the problem today.

The judge read him his Miranda rights today in the hospital. It’s done!
