"Walking Dead Season 4 it seems could be in for a ton of shocking twists one of which will no doubt **** fans and in my humble view unsettle the entire show. AMCs The Walking Dead has continued to smash ratings records and draw in fans by the millions and it does this with an outstanding cast of characters but can the show go on and succeed with its leading man?
Robert Kirkman answered a pile of fan questions about the series and Season 4 of The Walking Dead and one really struck a note with me which was will Rick Grimes survive? Robert Kirkman responded to the question by saying that Rick Grimes was not out-of-bounds and we can expect his death at almost any point so dont rule it out........"

Probably the most true to book character on the series. They have just sped his development up some.

"I dont think theyll kill Rick. Maybe put someone else into the leadership position and give him less of a role but not kill him." I don't believe they'll do it, either. Kirkman didn't really say they would (and he won't, LOL). He just danced around and offered more speculation. He often says any character could die at any time.
For me, Rick is sort of the focal point of the show. We saw the beginning unfold through his eyes. I'd hate to see him get killed.

The only characters that could replace Rick are both dead, Merle and Shane. Nobody and I mean nobody wants to see Glenn or Maggie leading the group.

First clue, I guess, is this: Is Rick Grimes dead in the graphic novel, yet?

Thanks, I thought they were experimenting on them.
They were, but the two things were mutually exclusive.
In the WD relaity, there is "surviving" and then there is going "full evil". Sometime "surviving" means doing bad & unethical things to stay alive.....like ignoring the lone hitchhiker for instance.....whereas going "full evil" entails killing humans and zombies alike and keeping heads as trophies like a serial killer.

Another couple of seasons I could see Carl taking a leadership position. They need to balance out his hardness in the next season...I think they'll do that with the addition of the Woodbury survivors.

Maybe it is just me; but, I think keeping heads in jars in your living area kind of takes you past sociopath into psychopath territory.
True, but I think these days they don't use "psychopath" anymore.
I am probably mistaken but I think back when the term "psychopath" was used by the eggheads in psychology the only difference between sociopath and psychopath was that one killed while the other one did not.
There are studies where it shows that corporate CEO's tend to have sociopathic tendencies for instance, but they aren't serial killers. So say, in another life, Ted Bundy maybe could've been the CEO of a Fortune 500 company instead of a serial killer.

Nope, Rick will not die, permanently. They’ll do a “we brought him back” like they did with Herschel, at most.
He dies, I stop watching. The storyline has always been about the world from his point of view, largely. You don’t kill THE protagonist.

No. They will not kill him in the comics either. The story IS from his POV, he’s the main guy.
It’s like killing off Bruce Willis in one of the Die Hards. NOt gonna happen, no not gonna happen, no no..

Rick stays. Kirkman was just saying anyone can go, but Rick’s not anyone.

Up....HBO came up with a brilliant strategy during the Sopranos...their ad said we known you hate Sunday nights so that’s where we come in...so true.
Now it’s the awesome Game of Thrones.
I know a lot of Freepers hate HBO...but I think Game of Thrones is conservative. Petty squabbling over political rivalries when existential threats are on the horizon.. Jihad...debt bomb ..etc. I’d bet the writer is a conservative.

Now its the awesome Game of Thrones.
Tonight is only the second time I’ve seen it and it’s pretty good.
I’m getting bad feelings about the Vikings on History Channel.

George R.R. Martin is a liberal. Big Time. He was bashing the Tea Party a while back on his blog over photo I.D. and voting.
I do like Game of Thrones, though.
To: ConjunctionJunction
Well...damn. When you read the books or see the show it’s all about honor...keeping your word..paying your debt...facing adversity...self reliance...nothing liberal about it at all. Well I don’t care how he votes. I’m not cutting off my nose to spite my face.

All characters will die except Rick, Maggie, and The Governor.
Only British actors will survive.
Maybe Daryl will make it, too, as he played an Irishman once...
Has anyone noticed how much Zombies and Doctor Who go together?

I think Game of Thrones is conservative. The same Game of Thrones that had Bush's severed head on a pike?
THAT Game of Thrones?
