So what are you listening to? [MUSIC LOVER'S VANITY]
A Love Supreme | April 20th, 2013 | Third Person

Posted on 04/20/2013 5:19:18 PM PDT by Third Person

It's been a wild week...just wondering, what's been in your steady rotation to help smooth out the rough edges?

Here's my list for the last few days:

Moby Grape/ '69

Sun Ra/ Supersonic Jazz

Haydn/ Symphony No. 98

From speed metal to bubblegum pop... who cares, weigh in!

What, no “Beatles” link from you yet this evening? Bad connection in Fiji?

Go check out Beautiful by Seeed on YouTube.

Then, try Haus Am See, Alles Neu, or Schwarz Zu Blau by Peter Fox.

Top it off with Diene Ziet by Seeed.

Or “Nefertiti”...

It has been a long time since I heard that, but it all comes back.

There was the listenable Miles and the unlistenable Miles, and I listened to a lot of both.

Post Bitches Brew, it got a little rough.

But never boring. There's a Police lyric, "I chased his thoughts like birds."

Yeppers.

You should check out the Salon at www.billnelson.com.

He sells his recent albums there. Joy through amplification is a *must have*. As is Fancy Planets.

The vacation had to wait until 2000 when I went back with my daughter. Always loved the place, then and now.

And Vietnamese nusic is beautiful, all forms.

I recall in my bunker one night, “Oh Jeez, he’s listening to that crap again.”

Not listening to anything external, but for several weeks now Patsy Cline’s “I Was Wrong” keeps playing endlessly in my head.

I hate it when that happens.

Once in a while the same thing happens with me. Usually it’s “Back in Baby’s Arms”.
