Here's why this is so important: Russia has had trouble with Islamic terrorist murders for centuries, and Putin wanted to put a stop to it.

After the Belsan school genocide and Moscow theater events, there was enough nationalist Russian support for Putin to be the tough guy he is.

He went to war with Chechnya and won so decisively that he co-opted the surrendered Chechen military, forcing them to hunt and kill their own people.

This is the first time in history a Muslim military has been forced to kill their own people, previously the best anyone could do was to drive them out (King Jan, Vlad the Impaler).

The Chechen terrorists that flee to Western Europe and America are fleeing their own military.
