Well now that's an interesting comment, and I do not accept your premise, but I'll be polite and respond anyway.
A: the headline of your post was itself insulting to intelligence, and really not necessary at all. B: you were yourself insulting, with the flippant "Limbaugh lovers" comment, as if our opinions were based on an emotion and not fact. C: Thus, I figured you were beyond persuasion, and sharp sarcasm is a very effective means of swaying the uncommitted....
Well, Rush has a national audience and he invited Rubio onto the show; hence, he provided Rubio a national forum.
Rubio was been pro-amnesty even before he was elected to the US Senate—I’m from Florida and have been watching him for a long time. While listening to Rubio’s comments, my interpretation is that he did indeed pitch the concept of amnesty; although he may not have used the specific term.
Given the above, I don’t see how my headline was BS, insulting, or otherwise misleading.
Further, Rush has been gushing over Rubio for months—Calling him a fine conservative, or words to that effect even today. (I disagree, given that Rubio has gone all-in on this bill that has the backing of Shumer.) I vividly remember Rush giving significant airtime to Boehner during budget negotiations a couple of years ago. In the end, we conservatives had the carpet pulled out from under us. I’m suspicious of that happening again.
I’ve been listening to the program since Rubio went off. Of the callers that have made it onto the air, my sense is they didn’t buy what Rubio was selling, for what that’s worth.
The “Limbaugh lovers” comment was inappropriate, and for that I apologize.
