“Truth hurts”
Truth can also make one free - or in this case, rich.
Why rich?
The Sargent is an instructor, teaching officers a shooting course. Hard truth is the attacker is more likely to be wearing a hoodie than other clothing. Firearms training is serious, an issue of life and/or death.
With apologies to the Goron, here is a short list of “inconvenient truths” regarding firearms instruction and the hoodie issue under discussion:
1. The hoodie has become the de facto uniform of American Urban Ferals, particularly predating Urban Ferals.
2. Firearms trainees are taught to watch the attacker’s hands.
3. Hoodie wearers can easily conceal their hands in the front pocket of their hoodie.
4. Should the Urban Feral have a gun in his/her hand, the gun can be drawn and fired in well under a second, closer to 1/2 second with practice.
5. Should the Urban Feral decide to fire the gun inside the hoodie pocket, even less officer reaction time will be the result.
Should the officer be dealing with a crime in progress, and should the Urban Feral make a move which is a justifiable shoot situation, the officer may decide to place one, perhaps two shots to the Urban Feral’s heart/lung area, known as the Center of Mass (CM).
However, such shots disable by loss of blood - not a quick process. Remember the Urban Feral hand inside the hoodie?
Blood loss within 1 second after shooting will rarely cause immediate incapacitation.
When in a situation such as described above, prudent instructors teach Central Nervous System (CNS) shots because they result in immediate cessation of hostile activity. However, the target area for a head(CNS) shot is about the size of a good size orange, not the dinner plate size target of a Center of Mass (CM) shot.
Let’s pause in the target definitions for a moment while we consider a sad but accurate fact of Urban life, indeed, life in America in general. The hoodie is the de facto uniform of the American Urban Feral, especially the predating Urban Feral.
Because the hoodie is so commonly worn by the Urban Feral criminal, prudent instructors must teach accordingly. How often will an officer face an attacking Yuppy in a three piece suit, a female in a dress, a grannie with her purse?
Now, ask yourself, with less than one second to decide whether to shoot and then accurately make the shot - where inside the hood of the hoodie is the head, anyway?
Think fast!
Hoodie targets are far more easily justified that the millions of dollars spent by Homeland Security on targets of everyone (all white) from little boys and school girls, to mothers with a child in one hand, to pregnant mothers and even elderly whites.
Based upon the above, I predict a suit for wrongful termination by Sargent King, and his receiving quite a large sum of money.
If he had blackened out the Skittles and Ice Tea he would have been all right.

Thank you E. I kinda figured that. I had seen those targets before. Now have you heard about the one they had of the muzzie woman? CAIR complained and they got rid of it.
