The people who need to know and understand this the most are the owners of Pitt Bulls but they seem to be the first to deny that their dogs could or would ever harm anyone, until they do. Then all we hear is how sweet and nice the dog has always been. Until it wasn't and another person is ripped up or another child killed. I'm a professional trainer and handler. Not all pitt bulls are bad but every one of them has within it the instinct to fight and bite. Every time I see a Pitt Bull leading/pulling/dragging the owner/handler down the street ...
... Yeah, the Alpha dog in the relationship is the one with four legs.
Yeah, the Alpha dog in the relationship is the one with four legs. Yes and that is the problem with most owners of pitt bulls. Have you ever heard of a Pitt Bull owner who's dog just attacked someone say, "I knew it could happen?" Nope they live in denial until their dogs rip someone up or kill a kid.
It can happen with a pitt, and it does sometimes happen with a pitt. I've trained many attack dogs an defense dogs. They do what they are taught to do. They are predictable and all new owners are well schooled in how to handle them and what is necessary to keep them safely. And your local wannbe gang punk does what with his dog???? Not a darn thing except let his ego grow.
